Trust me, the world of illegal street car racing gives the whole street car racing community a bad name.

And, I'm getting tired of patching up the participants! Illegal street car racing needs to stop--it creates far too many victims (the unlucky drivers and passengers themselves, and the family and friends left behind).
 
Moreover, it stretches an already overworked police force to the breaking point--they need to focus on the war on drugs and heinous crime, not be hassled by people out joy riding and grand-standing for attention.
 
Don't get me wrong, the world of street car racing is an awesome place, when it's done legally--it's very entertaining and fascinating. The raw power pumped out during a legally sanctioned street car racing event is amazing--it's still dangerous, but the danger is far more controlled, contained, and anticipated.

In other words, because of carefully thought out checks and balances, it's far more difficult to destroy the lives of innocent bystanders, or to ruin the lives of family and friends.

So, if you're a street car racing nut, support the legally sanctioned events and stop supporting the back street sideshows.

Do it legal--do it right--do it safe: be part of the solution--stop illegal street car racing.
