I can not believe what a popular sport street car racing is. A few evenings ago I was watching a reality show that was focusing on what people like to do with their hobby time. There was a lady on there that was in her mid thirties, a wife and mother of two little children, and when her husband came home from work she got her auto racing supplies together and headed out for an evening of street car racing. It seemed very odd to me and yet I was intrigued by her bravery and enthusiasm for the sport of street car racing. In most areas street car racing is not legal but she was heading for a part of her city where the sport is allowed. Her husband wished her luck and handed her the auto racing supplies she needed as she headed out the door. That was an awakening for me. A lot of people, including me, may tend to stereotype street car racing participants and this woman was not your typical street car racing athlete. You certainly never know what kinds of hobbies people enjoy in their spare time.
