Jackass and Viva La Bam star Bam Margera was in the news recently, and not for his street car racing activities. Bam is getting sued by fellow street car racing enthusiast Nick Taft, who was slated to compete against Margera in Europe's Gumball Rally The Gumball Rally features street car racing across Europe, through the streets of several different countries. Margera is accused of thowing white paint all over Taft's blue Peugot 306 GTI in revenge for Taft having stripped the gearbox of Margera's Lamborghini Gallardo. The paint-splashing incident, which was filmed for Margera's reality show in April, allegedly took place on a London city street. This lawsuit may not slow down the irrepressible Margera, but it does cast something of a pall over the world of street car racing, though nothing like the pall cast over the 2007 Gumball Rally, an annual 3000-mile international competition that features street car racing all over Europe, when this year's rally was cancelled due to an accident that killed two bystanders. The charge against Margera is listed as criminal damage.
